    Hello

I’m using Myeclipse Version: 6.5.1 GA.

I would like to use the built-in derby database tool but this runs derby version 10.2.2.0 and I would need derby version 10.3.1.4. The configuration window allows to choose a database location but not the jars to be used by the server.

How can I use version 10.3.1.4 with MyEclise?

    Thank you for your help.

Your can create a new Derby Database in the Database explorer called Derby 2 with the jar you want.

I apologize if I was not very clear with my description of the problem. I’ll try again:

I have a derby database I need to use. The database was created with version 10.3.1.4. Now, I tried the following:
    – Open MyEclipse Java Enterprise perspective
    – Go to “Servers” tab
    – Under “Configure” for the MyEclipse Derby Server choose the path to the database
    – Run the database server
    – Console reads: “Apache Derby Network Server – 10.2.2.0 – (485682) started and ready to accept connections…”
    – Now go to MyEclipse Database Explorer Perspective
    – Open a connection to the derby database. Using old or new jar, the result is the same: I get an error message that says that the database format is incompatible with the current version of the software. This is obviously true, since the database was created with the newer version and the server runs on the older version.

-> How/Where can I update the server (not the connection) so it runs on version 10.3.1.4?

    Thank you for your help.

I solved the problem by replacing the jars in \myEclipse\myeclipse\eclipse\plugins\com.genuitec.eclipse.derby_6.5.0.zmyeclipse650200806\lib with the version needed.

    tanks for your help
