How to view a query plan?

    How do you view the query plan of a query? I typed set showplan on which works in other sql editors but not Database Explorer. It does not give an error, but it won’t show the query plan. What gives? I didn’t see anything in the documentation about it.

    Please also explain in better detail what you are doing, walk us sstep by step.

    Microsoft Windows Version 5.1 (Build 2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301 : Service Pack 2)
    Eclipse Version: 3.1.0 Build id: I20050513-1415
    Eclipse was freshly installed
    No other external plugins
    4 plugins like org.eclipse.pde.*
    My Eclipse Version 3.9.210
    JDK version 1.4.2_02
    Nothing in log

    Are you famaliar with viewing the query plan of a query?
