    hi,

I’m looking for a replacement for Dreamweaver, and tried MyEclipse.

    design mode creates code like:

    <P><SELECT name=gradeLevel>
    <OPTION value=elem selected>Elementary 4-6</OPTION>
    <OPTION value=middle>Middle 7-8</OPTION>
    <OPTION value=high>High 9-12</OPTION>
    <P><INPUT type=button value=next name=Next></P>

    look, Mom, no quotes.

That is a show stopper for me. I also need a split view, like dreamweaver, to show design/code views simultaneously.

    good luck,

    larry

    Larry,
We appreciate the feedback. I will send it along to the HTML designer dev and see if we can get that added soon.

    Larry,

One option for quoting attributes is the “Cleanup Document” action in the HTML editor. You can either right-click in the editor or “Ctrl+Shift+L”, and get the cleanup document dialog, which currently acts on the entire document. You can configure this action to quote all attributes.

The split view is a model we are moving towards. Adding the outline view and properties view in 3.8 was the first step towards this model. We have an internal goal to make our HTML designer do everything we need to do, without other 3rd party HTML editors.

Thank you for your feedback and interest in MyEclipse.
