I think you’ve got some significant new bugs in the JSP editors w/ 5.0GA. The JSP editors have always been twitchy, but now I get lots of spurious error messages which are fixed by saving, closing the editor, and then reopening it. I get both error (red) and warning (yellow) messages, which are incorrect.

I have also noticed that the new release (Eclipse or MyEclipse – I don’t know which) is a real memory hog. I’m running 2GB ram, and have configured Eclipse to run w/ 512 MB, and I still get occasional out of memory warnings, and one crash. Sometimes I get really slow system response, both at my work and my home computer – type 10 characters and they appear on the monitor at the rate of 1 character every 3 seconds.

I have a new Eclipse 3.2 w/ MyEclipse 5.0GA installation on WinXP-Pro. The log file doesn’t seem to show anything very interesting.

    Ray,
We’ve had a handful of other users report this flaky error checking, unfortunately it’s so hit or miss it’s been hard to track down. As far as the out of memory excpetions, if you are only setting your heap size and not the permGen size, that could explain it, try these switches: http://www.myeclipseide.com/PNphpBB2+file-viewtopic-t-10087.html
