Sorry that you are seeing this issue. I have responded to your concern in the ticketing system.
For your convenience, I am pasting my response here again:
1. Did the IDE crash or exit abruptly the last time in that workspace?
2. Can you please shutdown Angular IDE and try deleting the .lock file from this location? : /User/Documents/Angularworkspace/.metadata/.lock
Once you deleted it successfully, start Angular IDE and try opening the workspace.
3. If you are still seeing the problem, then please share with us the workspace log file from the older workspace which is located at this path : /User/Documents/Angularworkspace/.metadata/.log.
4. As a workaround, you can import the project from the older workspace to the newer one using the File > Open Projects from File System.
