I have been using MyEclipse for a while now and I really like it. 😀 There is just one big problem I have with its way of packing files. Since J2EE server only accepts EJB, WAR and EAR projects, I can understand the way MyEclipse package these projects and how it deploys it.

However, what I cannot figure out is to include a user defined Java library project into part of the J2EE deployment. I tried many options and I finally got it working for WAR projects, but change the preferences. I had no luck with EJB projects so far. Is this something not availble in MyEclipse or I am missing something here? ❓

Actually deployment of User Libraries isn’t supported with any project type right now, only for ‘External JARs’ and dependent projects…. however we *will* be adding support for this in 3.8.3, hopefully that will clear up any trouble you have been having.

Hi, is it definite? And how long do I have to wait till the release of 3.8.3?

It is really inconvient at the moment. I bypassed the problem by dump all the library codes in one of most basic EJB project previously…. but that is just not a neat solution.

Early december we are hoping for the 3.8.3 release, and yes deployment of user libraries will be in it.
