AlejandroMemberHello,
I’m a beginner, and am creating an app with a catalogue for a lighting company.
After a bit of learning, everything worrks fine except that I inconsistently (ie. there is no pattern) get blank pages on both my iPhone and iPad when linking from one page to another.
It doesn’t necessarily happen on the same page, and I might restart the app and it works fine, or sometimes it gets a blank on another page.
This happens both when starting from the home screen or Safari. I’ve tried it on Safari on my PC and there is no problem. Also in the Test Center it works fine.
The iPhone and iPad OS is 4.3 and Mobione 1.1.1. PC is Windows 7.
The URL of the site is http://www.luzyfer.es.
I think that I’ve tried nearly everything before contacting you, but it’s now driving me crazy.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Alex
AlejandroMemberJust a note on the previous message.
Only the links for “Pantallas Estancas” and “Campanas Industriales” on the “Productos” page are supposed to be working at the moment.
Thanks

Cool progress! Looking into this now.Q1: If you load AppSync’ed version of your app in the Test Center do you experience the white screens. I have not yet in my env.
Q2: are your linked pages “remote”, i.e., loaded dynamically from your server?

AlejandroMemberWayne,
1. Sorry for my ignorance, but I don’t know what AppSync is exactly. If it’s just the normal way of running in the Test Center, that works fine.
2. Yes, the pages are remote and dynamically loaded. AppCache support is turned on in all of them, but I’ve tried with it turned off, and still get the same problem. I’ve also cleared the cache on my iPhone many times, but it doesn’t help.
Thanks for the lightning fast reply. I wasn’t expecting it as quick as that…..

I discussed with lead dev and we think the problem could be that the loading of your remote page may be timing out. The phoneui.js performs the remote page loading and it has a time of 10 sec.Can you increase the timeout to 15-20 seconds and see if the problem still exists.

AlejandroMemberWayne,
Sorry, but I’ve changed the timeout and it still happens.
One strange thing is that, when I open it in Safari and link from a page that works to one that comes up blank, if I hit the “back” button it still come up blank. So it doesn’t actually seem to go “back” anywhere.
I’ve also tried it with other websites (just to make sure it wasn’t a phone problem) and they work perfectly.
Thanks

Does the problem happen to the same page(s) or is it random?Did you happen to modify any of the pages manually?
Would you share your webapp and resources with us for deeper research? If yes please send a zip of the design files and other resource files to support at genuitec dot com with MobiOne in the title and it will route to me.

AlejandroMemberWayne,
It seems to be completely random.
I haven’t modified anything manually.
I’m sending you a zip file with everything I’ve got.
Have a good weekend.
Thanks
Alex
