Klaus VillacaMemberAnyone know how install into Open Solaris ?
Because I’m trying doing this : ./myeclipse-71-installer
And getting this :
klausÄopensolaris_vb:ü/dev/tools/ide/myeclipse/myeclipse-7.1.0-linux-gtk-x86# ./myeclipse-71-installer
myeclipse-71-ins: Cannot find /lib/ld-linux.so.2
Killed
What should be and what is this lib ????
Are there any way to workaround it ?
Thanks in advance
Klaus VillacaMemberHi, it’s me again
I could install the Eclipse IDE into Solaris, I just had to use the Package Manager, although is the basic, with out J2EE and other things. Now I’m trying do one update from your site without success. The odd thing is that when I open the the Software Updates -> Instaled Software I can see Solipse instead Eclipse. However when I go to help -> About Eclipse… I got this
Eclipse SDKVersion: 3.4.2
Build id: M20090211-1700(c) Copyright Eclipse contributors and others 2000, 2009. All rights reserved.
Visit http://www.eclipse.org/platformThis product includes software developed by the
Apache Software Foundation http://www.apache.org/If I try do one update getting the URL provided from MyEclipse site, I have one message that tell me “Cannot complete the request” and show me one pane where I might un-select some options. That even all un selected still doesn’t work.
There are any workaround to fix it ?
Thank you in advance onde again.
support-joyMemberkvillaca,
You can try this – download Eclipse 3.4.2 Classic on Solaris. And the use the Archived update site of MyEclipse from the download site to add MyEclipse. This should be the 4th option in the download page. Let me know if this works for you?
Klaus VillacaMemberSorry to take long time to answer it, but I had to change all my development environment to Ubuntu, and now I’m running out of time because that. I’ll try this approach in this weekend and if it works or not, I should write here.
Thank you and sorry.
Riyad KallaMemberkvillaca,
The good news is that our Linux installer (full GUI installer) for Linux (32-bit or 64-bit) works great on Ubuntu, so no need to get fancy and try and build your own distro from update sites. -
