I’m getting the following two dialogues when trying to install a fresh download of the new 8.0 OS X all-in-one installer. The install fails just after these two dialogues…any suggestions on how to proceed?

    bnash74,
Are you behind a firewall or proxy? Can you try using pulse?
You can download pulse explorer from http://www.poweredbypulse.com.
Open pulse explorer and select “Eclipse Galileo” and go to “Browse Categories” in the left pane.
From the right hand pane under IDE, select ME8.1. Right click on it and select “Run”/ “Install and Run”
Let me know if this works for you.

This didn’t directly solve the problem, but it did give a more verbose error, which led to a solution. There was a permissions problem on the /Library/Genuitec directory. Once I corrected this, I was able to run the original installer. Thanks for your help!
