I am trying to install myeclipse 8.6 on macos 10.5. When I run the installer I get the following. I need to know how to resolve this issue.

1. Are you trying to install MyEclipse for Spring 8.6 or MyEclipse 8.6 with added Spring functionality?
2. Are you using all-in-one installer from the download site / pulse / archived update site on top of eclipse classic?
3. In case you are using the all-in-one installer, can you please verify if the file size and the MD5sum of the downloaded installer file matches that mentioned in the download site?I would recommend you a quick fix using pulse. Please do the following –
1. Open Pulse (if you don’t have pulse, you can download the same from http://www.poweredbypulse.com)
2. Login to Pulse
3. Select “Eclipse – Galileo” realm from top left hand corner dropdown
4. Expand and click on – Ready to use Profiles > Popular
5. From the right hand pane right click on MyEclipse 8.6 / MyEclipse 4 Spring 8.6 and click on [install and run]
6. This will open a wizard which will guide you through the rest of the stepsLet me know how this works for you.

I’ll be glad to give you a hand with this. First, I want to be sure you’ve got the right installer for MyEclipse for Spring 8.6. It is available for the Mac using this link. Please be sure to scroll to the bottom and select the version for Mac OSX.
Once you have the installer downloaded, you can verify the md5 checsum as follows:
1) Open Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app
2) Within the terminal window, please type the following:
md5 ~/Downloads/myeclipseforspring-8.6.1-macosx.tgzIt will take about a minute to run and should return:
MD5 (myeclipseforspring-8.6.1-macosx.tgz) = 48edf8fad55579b522c5ec0bee3361c2Please be sure your sum matches this one. If it does not match, the download has been corrupted or is incomplete. If it does match, please proceed:
3) Unarchive the tgz file file from a Finder window by right-clicking and selecting “Open with…> Archive Utility.app”. This will create the directory myeclipseforspring-8.6.1-macosx
4) Run the installer from the Finder by double-clicking myeclipseforspring-installer.app with that folder5) Please let me know what happens here if the installation is not successful. The more detail you can provide, the better I’ll be able to assist.
