hroweMemberI have a problem installing Mobione. At install error popup window it says” an error has occurred while locating installed JREs. I tried the nojre trick and it won’t install the file it changes too. normally it is an application then when I tag on nojre it becomes a file and not an application and vista doesn’t know what to do with it. Any ideas what to do?

I’m not sure why this error is coming up since the 1.1.3 release and the new 1.1.4 that shipped today should be using the bundled JRE rather than attempting to use the local JRE. I have asked our installer dev to give me a hand.In the meantime I would recommend that you download the new MobiOne 1.1.4 release that shipped earlier today. You can download it from http://genuitec.com/mobile/download.html
hroweMemberThis Link you posted still has 1.1.3. Is there another link to download 1.1.4?
hroweMemberMy bad, it say 1.1.3 but it loads 1.1.4. Sorry for the mistake.
hroweMemberI just tried it. same error as above. That’s depressing .

In the screenshot you provided there is option to “Get Help”. Clicking this should provide an option to send us an information bundle about why the installer failed. Would you please send us that info? It will be sent to mailto:support@genuitec.com which I monitor. Also, early next week we have a fix for a couple of installer bugs that will be available. I would like to make an early access installer available to you if you are willing to give it a go. Let me know your thoughts.
hroweMemberThe get help button just closes the window. Does it generate a file someplace else? If so I could look it up somewhere and send it to you. Otherwise it is a broken link.
As far as the test patch next I would be happy to test it out. Anything to get this working as soon as possible would be great.

hroweMemberIs there anything I am doing wrong with the -nojre end around fix? when I add it to the .EXE it changes to from application to FILE. Then it ask how to open it with the usual choices. Any suggestions?
support-michaelKeymaster@hrowe
The -nojre is now obsolete with the latest 1.1.3 and greater versions of MobiOne installer. The installer should no longer attempt to use any locally installed Java runtime environment but will rather use its own internal Java runtime. But there is a bug in the installer platform we use that has recently been fixed and will be available by the end of this week. At that time we plan to rebuild the 1.1.4 installer to include this fix which I believe will resolve the issue you are experiencing (fingers crossed). The timeline for this new 1.1.4 fix is estimated to be next Wednesday (June 1).
hroweMemberThanks Wayne, this is killing me. I was able to get the program installed on an old(really old) Windows xp labtop with 258megs of memory. Its so slow it takes me30 minutes to pull up the properties window on a single screen. the lag time is so great I have no idea what I’m getting or were I’m at. Freeze…crash…start over…Yikes
support-michaelKeymaster@hrowe
Yikes, that sucks. I will work to see if we can accelerate the new build but sort of blocked waiting for the platform update.
hroweMemberany updates on the new patch 1.1.5 Wayne?
hroweMemberdownloaded the new patch and everything works perfectly, thanks for everything Wayne.
