Are there plans to support the Hyades Profiling project? It would be great to be able to start/stop any appserver from Enterprise Workbench and then attach and profile the running application from the Hyades Profiling and Logging perspective.

Thanks for making such a great product!

    Cheers,
    Ted

    Ted,
There weren’t any plans for this, can you give us some more detail about why this might be sweet?

Hyades provides support for profiling any java process. For a serious J2EE app profiling is very useful to pinpoint performance issues. But you have to stuff around quite a bit to get Hyades to connect to a j2ee server.
It would be very cool if as well as the MyEclipse Run Server and Debug server options there was a Profile Server option that automatically launched the server with the hyades profiler attached.

Is there is more user interest we may look at this for a future release. Thanks for the info.

No one created a poll, you are free to create a new post that is a poll and people can vote on that.

I also need a profiler for MyEclipseIDE. It doesn’t matter if it’s Hyades or integration with jMechanic, or some similar open-source project, but I need it desperately for MyEclipseIDE.
