nemecMemberDownloaded 3.7.2 ZIP, and tried to follow the instructions from the HTML.
The first thing was – it didn’t get to step 7 – when I started Eclipse, there was no suggestion to install MyEclipse. I exited, restarted, nothing again.
When looking into perspectives and views – there is MyEclipse perspective, and one MyEclipse view. Preferences contain partial hierarchy (e.g. ‘servers’ suggest there should be some pages underneath but there are none) and some pref pages fail to load.Had someone luck installing 3.7.2 on the latest I20040428 integration build? Should I follow some different directions?
I assume that going back to M8 would solve this but I’d like to stay with the version of Eclipse I currently have.
Some params: Win2003, JDK 1.4.2, couple of small Java plugins in addition to full Eclipse install.

Yes, our M-compliant builds of MyEclipse *have* to target specific releases of Eclipse (due to API changes since its in development until 3.0 goes stable). However, there are still the adventerous people on the forums that like to get it to work with the integration builds, and to be honest some have actually made it work.
We cannot offer any support for this particular install situation (as we would have no idea which piece of software is at fault), so if you do get it working its a “good luck, you’re on your own” situation.
I would personally suggest rolling back to M8 until M9 comes out, then we will make a M9-compliant release a few weeks after that and then you can upgrade and not run the risk of having strange bugs popup that crash the editors or muck up your project. This is my biggest worry about using unsupported versions, you never know how the bugs will manifest… annoying or destructive.
nemecMemberThanks, I shouldn’t have expected more. I’ll wait till M9, then; maybe trying now and then to see what works.

We appreciate the patience. We know the drive to upgrade (due to bug fixes, performance enhancements, etc.) can be pretty big, but appreciate our users staying as stable as possible so we can help them out.
