Can someone please shed light on how to deploy an iOS phonegap app?

In Android you create the apk, put it on the device, install it and be done with it.

I don’t want to use a mac, so I’ll use the remote build functionality to create an iOS app. But all I’ve gotten so far is that I’d need a certificate and for that I’d have to BUY a developer license from apple. Is that correct or are there other ways to get my developed software to my iPad for testing purposes?

Also, I don’t want to make the app public. I only want to give it to friends. Is that even possible, i. e. deploying without using the app store?

    Thank you very much.

I have escalated your query to the dev team. They will get back to you.

Yes, you’re right, to create Apple iOS native applications there is the additional cost of Apple’s iOS developer program membership in order to acquire a digital certificate and provisioning data required by Apple.

Yes, it is possible thru the Apple Developer Enterprise Program
