    Hello,

Can you please help me to figure it out how I can place my own app for personal use on my own server without going through the mac store?

    Thank you,
    M

You will want to use “ad hoc” app distribution. See the “Building iOS Appliciations” guide for a description of the process.

    Thanks Wayne,
That implies me having to pay 99 buck a year to make my own app?!?!
… or am I missing something?

If that’s the case, is there another way to install the app (as non native) in the iphone?
I remember on mobione 1.xx that was possible.

    Cheers,
    M

    You are correct.

    Yes, try this:
    1) use Publish as Mobile Web Application action instead of building an app
    – send an email notification to an account that you can access from your phone.
    2) load the mobile webapp in your device’s browser (e.g., mobile safari)
    3) save a short cut to the homescreen

    Thanks.

Will that also work offline including local data storage?

    Hi WiZaxx,

    Yes, it should do it.
