jess1ParticipantWell that is a big problem.
In a Big Company we do not have access to the Antivirus programm and we can not make changes.
It is very easy for you telling us, we can use the whitelist ! That is not possible!
You have to tell all Intivirus Companies that your Program is causing a lot of troubles!Besides, I am very frustrated with your Angular CLI Editor, because in our Company McAffe is blocking Code Mix and we have some projects in Angular to attend, and that is imposible!
Every time we use Angular IDE or we make updates , we can not work anymore and that is a very big ISSUE!
for example, this is a message from McAffe:
We see, that you have not a solution until now, and this very bad situation is pushing us to use another editor and Angular IDE with Code Mix we will not use it anymore .
Brian FernandesModeratorJess,
I’m sorry to hear you’re having a hard time whitelisting components of CodeMix, and can understand why this can be frustrating. You should not have to do this on every update of CodeMix, simply excluding the entire installation directory (
C:\WORK\DEV\IDE\Angular IDE\
) instead of the specific plugin would keep it working across upgrades as the individual plugins change – is there any reason why your policy team is not excluding the higher level installation directory instead? Please realize that there isn’t much we can do about this, other than warn users that functionality and/or performance could be affected if A/V systems are actively monitoring your installation. We cannot avoid using an executable for the CodeMix engine, or for native terminal functions. You will find that all IDEs, from VS Code to IntelliJ, will suggest that users make similar exceptions to their A/V systems, and the problems exist for multiple A/V systems as well, from Windows Defender to MacAfee and Bitdefender. Apologies for being unable to provide an alternative, or a workaround.
