lhsinMemberI just installed MyEclipse 8.5 couple days ago. I went into Configuration Center -> Software -> then I added Subclipse 1.6 from Quick-Add popular plug-in, which then appeared in Pending change column. After applying them, MyEclipse IDE got restarted.
However I couldn’t find SVN perspective from workspace. Then I went to Configuration Center again where I found Subclipse 1.6.x (5 related) shows in My Software column under Software tab. I clicked on ‘View Details’ on Subclipse 1.6.x which shows ‘Not Installed’.
Then I went to Dashboard tab, I saw a bunch of ‘to install’ feature. But I also don’t know how to ‘install’ them, but clicking what.
Did I miss any steps? What should I do to install the plugins?
lhsinMemberHere is another update, I reinstall once again. Upon the init installation, Dashboard shows MyEclipse Add-ons are ‘installed’. Then I update the the proxy name so Tip and Tricks can communicate with Pulse server, and then once it shows few tips on the right pane, those MyEclipse Add-ons change to ‘To Install’.
p.s. I didn’t touch on Subclipse 1.6.x yet…..
support-joyMemberlhsin,
Can you verify if you have followed this approach – Open MyEclipse Configuration Center. Go to Software tab. Under browse software, you will find a search for Plug-ins textbox. Type subclipse and hit enter key. Else you can also choose Subclipse 1.6.x(w/related) listed under Quick-Add Popular Plug-ins. On the bottom right hand pane, under Pending changes it will list the changes to be updated, click on [Apply x changes]. This will open a wizard which will guide you through the rest of the steps. Once the plugin gets added you can check the same in MyEclipse Configuration Center > Software tab > My Software section > Personal Software should list this as a plugin.
Next open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on Window > Open Perspective > Other > SVN Repository exploring. You should be all set.
rocamargoMemberHi, I migrated from MyEclipse 5.1.0 to 8.5 and my SVN perspective doesn’t appear. I cannot see any “software updates” at my Help menu. Can someone please help?
support-joyMemberrocamargo,
Please check the same under Help > MyEclipse Configuration Center > Software tab. How did you add SVN? Can you check if SVN is added to your ME profile by clicking on Help > About MyEclipse Enterprise Workbench > Installation Details > Plugins. If yes, you can click on Window > Customize Perspectives > Command Groups Availability and look for SVN. Next open Window > Open Perspective > Other. Select all checkbox and click on SVN Repository Exploring.
