I had downloaded 7.0 and ran into the infamous Pulse issue (no connectivity to Internet using Proxy – pop up window prompting for login info).

I read in this forum that 7.0.1 w/ 2.4 pulse could be installed using this installer:myeclipse-7.0.1-offline-2.4.0-win32.exe

I downloaded it. Uninstalled MyEclipse 7.0. Ran installer but it gets hung on a window named: preparing Intaller for MyEclipse 7.0. Progress bar, Preparing Install components…, get hung 1/4 ways through. Any ideas?

Please help…I’m ready to pull out my hair, this is so frustrating…

I thought that this was supposed to install 7.0.1? I installed it and it is still version 7.0. I’m still experiencing the blessed Pulse issue.

Sorry for the frustration, can you verify this by going to Help > About and clicking the MyEclipse icon and viewing the MyEclipse features specifically? (as shown in screenshot)

I have finally resolved the issue. I had to connect to the Internet, not using proxy, to get the updates, and then it worked fine after connecting via proxy again. Thanks!
