Hi,
There are some great tools out there for JME, notably is eclipseME for build and integration to a WTK of your choice. Also, the MTJ project in Eclipse (under DSDP) looks promising. Finally as you mention, there are others that provide tools too. However, QNX is outdated (Eclipse 2.1) and WindRiver is hooked up with MTJ. Wirelexsoft built a pretty cool WYSIWYG plugin that actually generates some pretty decent code, but the UI for the drag n drop is a little hard to use in my humble opinion (and limited use). Sun/Netbeans built a very slick looking plugin that is very intuitive and great WYSIWYG features. However, the code it generates leaves a lot to be desired (again in my limited use). To me it seems there is a great opportunity in this space for MyEclipse to build a WYSIWYG tool similar to the great work you did for JSP/HTML/etc. I don’t ever see the MTJ project ever going down the WYSIWYG route, so you’d be ok there. I think the peops at Wirelexsoft could use some friendly competition to their $200 plugin.
So, what do you say? Road map worthy?
Jesse
