When I get code errors in the Java perspective, they show in a ‘problems’ pane, meaning I can get to them quickly – I have just noticed that this does not happen in the ‘MyEclipse’ view. Anyone know how to get this to work? Otherwise I have so start searching through all my source to see which is marked, open it up and start searching for the bookmarks, which is a real pain!

    Thanks

    Chris,
What do you mean by “problems” pane? You mean the task list? Also, are you saying that you don’t see errors while editing Java files, or JSP files, or XML files? Is the problem that you are missing the Tasks View while in the MyEclipse perspective, or that it is empty? What version of MyEclipse are you using? What JDK, What’s my favorite ice cream flavor?

Any detail you can provide to the questions about (especially the last one) will help us figure out your problem.

I get errors in my java or jsp files, the package explorer has a red cross by the project name, but nothing is show in the task list so I have no idea where the error is!

I have also noticed that I can put errors in my jsp files, I get the situation described above, but the error is not marked in the jsp file unless I close it and re-open it!

I have seen this behaviour before (obvious Java errors not marked at left/right editor margin, and not shown in task list), ~ 2-3 times. Iirc it was on 2.7RC2, but I don’t have this anymore.

Chris can you verify what Victor said and upgrade to MyEclipse 2.7 GA and see if the problem fixes itself?
