The Java class that is generated from a UML2 class diagram includes the class attributes (properties) and the association roles. On my model I have indicated that the roles are private (correctly signified with a -) but the code generator creates a public variable. Surely this should also be private?

I could not replicate this at my end. Can you give some more information on this?
1. What are your installation details? You can get them from MyEclipse > Installation Summary > installation Details.
2. Can you list out the steps in detail to reproduce the issue?
3. Can you share your project? You can send a mail to support@genuitec.com. Please add ATTN:Shalini and refer to this thread. This will help us replicate the issue internally.
