I was attempting to experiment with the Javascript debugger in MyEclipse 6.0. I launched the debugger. It launched another instance of MyEclipse. I stepped through the javascript and then terminated the job.

However, it kept the second instance of MyEclipse and now every time I launch MyEclipse it gives me multiple instances of MyEclipse!!!!!

    How do I stop this.

What perspective does MyEclipse open in ? Can you switch to a new workspace and try opening MyEclipse again.

It opened in an AJAX perspective. I didn’t have time to fight it, so I created a new workspace and moved the old files to the new one. In a couple of weeks when I have the time to diddle with it, I will and I’ll figure it out.

Switching to a new workspace stopped the problem, but one of the reasons I upgraded to MyEclipse 6.0 was to use the Javascript debugging…. I did a quick search of the forums before posting and didn’t find anyone else having the same problem. Like I said, in a couple of weeks when I finish my current project, I’ll figure it out. Just wanted to know if anyone else had the same problem.

    Thanks

Are you facing the multiple instance problem with the new workspace as well ? This is the first time such an issue has been reported.

Opening up in a new workspace removed the multiple instances I had in the prior workspace. I have not had the opportunity to run the Javascript Debugger in this workspace yet, but will probably try it again this weekend….

I’ll continue this post when I do.

Thank you for your help and interest in this problem (if it is one. — it could just be a screwing windows problem.)
