Using the Jboss-ide (eclipse support support from http:\www.jboss.org) library Container for J2EE 1.4
solved the problem (ejb-api.jar is used). But Myeclipse must update their jboss-j2ee.jar file (!?)

The issues discussed in this thread were addressed in MyEclipse 3.8.1
