Please can you advise on this:

As for the feature request; I have asked for over a year for you to add Seam support and now JBoss have written the tools it would be great for MyEclipse to add them (if not too large) or at least get MyEclipse to work with them.

Gavin King (JBoss) was involved in this effort I believe and is very approachable.

    Cheers.

    balance,
Unfortunately I don’t have any workaround advice for you right now, I haven’t tried getting the newer releases of JBossIDE and ME working together, so I can’t say what’s wrong or what dependencies JBossIDE needs that won’t work in MyEclipse.

I don’t want you to feel ignored, I know a committed group of you have been asking for us to look at Seam support, and other tasks that were must-do’s took priority at the time, but I am pushing hard to make the 6.5 and 7.0 releases of MyEclipse be as feature-full as possible to help close the gap for some of these newer techs.

I can’t get a commitment from management yet about this stuff, so there aren’t any promises here, but just know that I am trying to get through support for the appropriate technologies our users want.

Hi its not a cse of writing the stuff. The JBoss team have done a great job and know seam VERY well. All you need to get them to do is work when they are added to MyEclipse. Can they at least allow you a day to work on why they don’t? It would seem reasonable of them. It quite silly to have EJB3 without Seam which glues JSF to EJB3.

They might be able to fix in from their end if you tell them what the problem is.
