I just installed the new jdk 5.0. I went to Installed JRE’s and setup the new jdk and rebuilt everything. But myeclipse isn’t recognizing the new syntax, like generics and the new for loop.

It is not supported yet in MyEclipse (do you mean in the JSP Editor?) and using Eclipse 3.1 is not supported either as its slated for release by atleast May of next year and there are still major changes going on in the base platform we will address when it hits RC level.
