There was at least one thread on this forum regarding JNDI and MyEclipseIDE’s lack of support for JNDI in the report designer.

One of the support guys posted that JNDI would be included in the next major release (7.5?). Anyhow… that thread no longer exists.

Before I upgrade to 7.5… was the JNDI functionality included?

Bonus question: Why are we deleting support threads when they haven’t been resolved?

1) JNDI support was added to 7.5, with a single manual step required to upgrade projects created prior to ME 7.5 GA (it is mentioned in our New & Noteworthy). See the link below for details.

2) The only JNDI thread that I am aware of is this https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/jndi-database-connections/#post-299676
it was moved to OT > Software dev. because of some questions earlier up the chain about getting JNDI working independently, perhaps that is why you missed it. I’m requesting that it be moved back into the Reports section right now; we do not delete support threads, resolved or otherwise.

Thanks Brian… that was the thread I was looking for. I didn’t realize it was moved to another area… it used to be here in this forum.

I’ll upgrade to 7.5 and test out the changes.
