    Hi,

I understand that the developement process for the IDE till now is 4.0 M3 and M4 will be out in about a few months time. But the tutorial and samples that I’ve gone through so far is 3.8.4. I have no ideas how JSF developement is gonna to be done with this new releases.

It will be helpful if any new releases, the documentation and tutorial will also be released together as well.

Actually 4.0 GA will be out the 29th of this month.

It will be helpful if any new releases, the documentation and tutorial will also be released together as well.

We will get some documentation out after the release.

And when will be “after”? Mai 2050 is also ofter 29th of August 2005. Could you please specify the date? Having an application without documentation is nearly having no application.
I think it is a little bit difficult to work with such a tool as MyEclipse without knowing the workflow of developing. I could develop the way I’ve done before. But how do I know that the tools of Myeclipse wich should support me recocgnize, what I am doing if it’s not done by the tools.

We’re all working feverishly to get our documentation up to date for the 4.0 release. However, the quickstarts in the Documentation section here http://www.myeclipseide.com/ContentExpress-display-ceid-67.html are generally up to date with the exception that some of the screenshots are a little off and not all the new features are showcased. However, the JSF quickstart (http://www.myeclipseide.com/images/tutorials/quickstarts/jsf/) is still current enough to get you started and show you the basics about how the tools function.

I’d like to follow up with Scott’s comment, the only thing the JSF doc is missing is using the new JSF designer, everything else in the document is up to date.
