On behalf of one of our users:

This is about MyEclipse4.0GA for eclipse 3.1. I saw it comes with a new kind of JSP editor (called JSP designer). Very nice, but one thing annoys me: does anybody know how to change the comment type for Ctrl-Shift-C? In the classic JSP editor, this was a JSP comment <%—-%>, while in the new JSP designer, it is a HTML comment <!—->. I definitely want a JSP comment 🙂

Browsing through the available settings and a quick search through the MyEclipse forums have yielded no result so far.

    Bernard,

I looked into this and you’re absolutely correct. This is regression of a bug we fixed in MyEclipse 3.8.2 that has resurfaced in 4.0 due to some underlying content model changes in Eclipse 3.1. I’ve reopened the bug report with a new description and we will resolve it in the next release.

In the interim I apologize for the inconvenience it’s causing and thank you for reporting it so we can fix it.
