Pronam ChatterjeeMemberHi
I updated to M3 using the automatic updater and since then none of my JSP files open. There are some messageboxes (creating jsp designer or something to that effect) that come up and thereafter finally “an error has occured: please see the log” appears. This happens for any jsp file.
I am WIN XP, Eclipse 3.1.Here is the stack trace from the log:
!ENTRY org.eclipse.jface 4 2 2005-08-16 02:01:10.974 !MESSAGE Problems occurred when invoking code from plug-in: "org.eclipse.jface". !STACK 0 java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: Brian FernandesModeratorPoonam,
We added a new JSP Designer in M3, and your JSP files are now opening with the new editor by default. We’ll get back to you with more support shortly.
In the meanwhile, you can still open your file with our “Classic” editor. Right click on the file in the package explorer and choose “Open With > MyEclipse ‘Classic’ JSP Editor”.
Please let us know if you experience any further issues.
Sorry for the inconvenience,
Brian.
Brian FernandesModeratorPronam,
It’s likely that you have a milestone build of Eclipse 3.1 and / or installed your own versions of the GEF (and Draw2D) plugin.
Could you download a copy of Eclipse 3.1 Final and install MyEclipse M3 for that version? When you get it working, you can continue using your old workspace with it.
Please let us know how it turns out.
Best,
Brian.
Pronam ChatterjeeMemberHi Brian,
I reinstalled Eclipse and MyEclipse. The problem is no longer appearing. Thanks
