Hi, I have a problem with the Preview window on JSP files.

Note: I can send in the JSP files if you haven’t seen/fixed this issue already. There are several files I’ll need to send, so please email me with a mailbox I should send them to.

Issue: When I click on preview, I get the standard “Javascript” error occurred on this page, would you like me edit in the script debugger or not.

Problem: If you only try and click yes/no you will get into an endless loop of dialogs. The solution is to hit the return key with the mouse over the area for the switch between “Source” and “Preview” and get a mouse down event in between the dialogs popping up.

This is a very good report, pelase email support@genuitec.com with a reference to this thread and description of the problem (as well as attachments) so we can see if we can get this fix in to the GA release.

This is still happening with ME 3.8.4/Eclipse 3.01 on Windows XP.
This is really bad, I kept having to Kill Eclipse to get out of the loop (until I just read the “trick” above).

The dialog I get is titled “Internet Explorer Script Error”.
Why “Internet Explorer” I thought I had configured my default browser as FireFox?
Is the JSP Preview configurable? Can you turn off the JavaScript?

It appears the JavaScript errors are occuring because the “includes” are not occuring, is this a know problem?

In our next release the HTML editor/designer/etc. is all being rewritten from the ground up, so these problems may no longer be applicable. I appologize for the inconvenicen for the time being.
