The only format option available in my jsp pages is
Source>Format>Active Elements and it really just does nothing.

I have been Cut and Pasting HTML to HTML page grom JSP
pages and back to get it formated (indention)

What have I done wrong, how do I get the JSP editor to accept/format
HTML (i.e. indenting) (the highlighting seems fine).

    Paul,
JSP formatting was disabled in 3.8.1 (or .2, I forget) because it had major issues with mangling the page contents. I believe it should be fixed and back in 3.8.3.

I have 3.8.3, but I cannot format JSPs either. The thing that makes it frustrating is that the XML editor is disabled when I try to open it with the XML editor. A basic XML tag indentation pass would suffice.

What’s the status on this now?

    Thanks,

    Mike

    Mike,
The JSP formatter was fixed and will be back in 3.8.4 ready for action (which should be released this week).

Awesome! Thanks! Of course, I was able to get around it some by simply putting it in an XML file, formatting, then putting it back in the JSP file, but that goobers up the small amounts of embedded java code. We are trying to be 100% tags, but we aren’t quite there yet. :O)

    Great news.

    Again, thanks.

The JSP formatter will likely be in 3.8.4, aparently my information was incorrect. Let’s all just wait until it is actually out (tommorow) before we decide 😉
