jsp: missing error indicator

    I’m not sure if this is a bug or on purpose, so I post here, please clarify, thanks.
    I’m looking at the web project tutorial and started a jsp and leave some syntax error in it, I enabled the JSP Validation setting for my project and saved the file, I believe some error indicators are missing, sceenshots here,

    oops, forgot the enviroment: eclipse 3.1 + MyEclipse 4.0 M3

    james,
    99.9% of the time this is caused by the javac.exe executable not being in your system Path. Please modify your System PATH environment variable to include your <jdk dir>\bin directory then restart MyEclipse.
