    This is a simple but very nice addition. The ability to have a JSP, HTML, XML, etc based comment with a “TODO” tag or other custom tags would be very helpful.

    Agreed, this has been our TODO list (ha!) for a while, sorry for the delay. We are all hoping to come back and get some these enhancements after 4.0 ships and a followup bugfix release.
