I keep getting out of memory errors causing MyEclipse to crash. It happens when I do various things. The last crash occurred while searching. My configuration and last error from the log follows:

    I get it again today:

An internal error occurred during: “Selection Job titile”.
unable to create new native thread

I’ve maxed my ram available to the JVM. What else can I do?

Could you tell me whether you are getting the error when you are doing things in the IDE, or when you are testing you application in the MyEclipse Tomcat instance?

    Regards,
    Heflin

I keep getting this error as well when trying to edit any inline javascript within a jsp page.

Here are my settings from myeclipse.ini:

    #ansi (do not remove)
    -startup
    ../../../../Common/plugins/org.eclipse.equinox.launcher_1.0.201.R35x_v20090715.jar
    –launcher.library
    ../../../../Common/plugins/org.eclipse.equinox.launcher.carbon.macosx_1.0.200.v20090520-1835
    -install
    /Library/Genuitec/MyEclipse-8.6
    -configuration
    ../../../configuration
    -vmargs
    -Xmx768m
    -XX:MaxPermSize=512m
    -XX:ReservedCodeCacheSize=128m
    -Dorg.eclipse.swt.internal.carbon.smallFonts
    -XstartOnFirstThread

Any way of solving this issue?

As a long time MyEclipse user, so far I’ve found 8.6 to be pretty hard to actually use.

    Hello,

I would tweak the vmargs to see if that helps, but I’ll also move this thread into the J2EE development category to see if anyone there knows of this issue or has a better suggestion.

    Kind regards,
    Dave

    All,

I’ve followed up on this via private email from our ticket system and will post a summary back here when we determine what’s going on.
