digital1440MemberI created a simple form in the design center and then ran the test center. When I click on the form field I was expecting the keypad to appear. Is there some function that I need to add in javascript to make this happen?
support-michaelKeymasterThe Test Center emulator does not provide a virtual keyboard at this time. The background story is we initially developed an early version but found a trend that users don’t use virtual keyboards when they have an option to seamlessly use their real keyboard for input. Using a keyboard is many times quicker to input than driving a virtual keyboard with a mouse. Users quickly discontinue using the virtual keyboards. Given that we deferred further development of a virtual keyboard until there is stronger demand.
digital1440MemberThanks for you reply and your reasoning makes sense for that purpose. However, the reason I was looking to see a keyboard was for two reasons. 1) When I show others the mock of the app, I would prefer to show it exactly how it would look on a mobile device 2) I want to record how a user would use the app on their mobile device and distribute that recording to others (prototype demo). Without the keyboard function, I am really not able to do that.
support-michaelKeymasterThanks for sharing your needs. I have added your comments to our feature tracking system. This bumps up the feature’s visibility when setting feature priorities for a dev cycle.
digital1440MemberThanks Wayne, much appreciated.
Quick question; I have realized that some of the functionality I am looking for is beyond my skills. I was wondering if you guys do small projects and if not, do you have any freelancers that are familiar with mobiOne that I can work with? I built a simple image questionnaire with mobione with some data collection at the end. I actually don’t want it in iOS, just html5, but have the feel of a native app.
Having the developer create the html5 using mobiOne would be great for me as I can then easily change out images or questions without asking a coder each time.
Any help is appreciated.
