    Hi,

I have a single (paid for) copy of MyEclipse which I use on both my desktop at work and my laptop. I noticed today that when I started up MyEclipse on my laptop while MyEclipse was already running on my desktop, that I started getting messages that I am not allowed to do this.

My understanding was that MyEclipse was cool with people purchasing a single license and using it for home and work, as long as there were not multiple users using it. I realize that its hard for you to verify if two machines from the same IP block are the same person or different persons. In this particular case, I was checking on something on my laptop when I got this message. Occasionally I use it for meetings as well, but this is the first time I saw this message.

I am hoping you are not going to ask me to buy two licenses. My company does not pay for IDE licenses unless its IDEA (and I can’t stand IDEA or Netbeans), so I buy the one license for my laptop and also use it on my desktop.

    Thanks
    Sujit

This is true but you cannot use the license on two machines simultaneously. I can understand the problem that you are facing but the only way to worksround it is to close the IDE on the Desktop when you want to use it on the laptop. I know its a pain to do this all the time but if you want to work simultaneously on two instances of the IDE, you will have to purchase another license.
