its somewhat painful to have to reinstall the eclipse license for each new project path directory I create.
I am not sure if there is a way around this, but it would be nice if there were.

For each workspace, yes we know that this is a pain for some users; sorry you had to run into this. After MyEclipse 4.0 we are going to look at storing this information in a more global location if possible.
