    Hi,

first I would like to thank you for the great product, due to the prices of Mac notebooks, I nearly gave up on doing things for the iPhone but now, I’m really please. I know Genuitec because of using MyEclipse since years now and well, thumbs up!

I am at the moment building the prototype that I will show my client and unfortunately, the icons that I’ve put on the bottom bar cannot be linked to pages, which is the case for Link texts. And for these icons, I can see nowhere in their properties where I can make some link.

    Any idea?

    D.

Yes, you’ve hit a limitation in the milestone-8 toolbar implementation. We ran out of time and did not complete the toolbar actions 🙁

We are working to get them into milestone-9 or sooner in a developer update of milestone-8.

Also will you be enabling linking to other URL’s not just other MobiOne files as M-7 let you do custom links but now M-8 doesn’t?

    😀

Actually, the M7 linking model was quirky and should not have allowed linking to non-design files. Our approach has been to initially get linking working well between designs and then expand to support linking to non-design resources. In M9 we are working to improve the linking, transition and code-gen models.

More info on our vision of design linking in the future.

Linking as you see it now is a stand-in, bottom-up version for the page-flow system that we will be ultimately developing. The page-flow designer that we plan to develop will provide a graphical depiction of views and their transitions.

Brilliant i was developing quite a similar thing (visual app creator + windows iPhone emulator) but using MobiOne i saw lots of things like PhoneGap support etc… that i won’t have been able to imitate so i stopped the projects.

As all versions so far are “free for evaluation purposes” i take it the finial version with the full sliding transitions, cloud based built centre and everything else will be payed. Could you give us some idea what the price would be?
