    Hi,
I am running MyEclipseIDE with Eclipse 3.02 and Eclipse 3.1 in RedHat Linux Fedora Core 4 environment. I have installed MyEclipseIDE both in version 3.02 and 3.1 Eclipse environments. I forgot to run the installer as Root. Instead, I ran it as the logged in user (myself). My question is that the Installer log shows only one Non Fatal Error as follows:

Install Begin: Sun Nov 20 15:55:22 EST 2005
Install End: Sun Nov 20 15:57:20 EST 2005

Created with Zero G’s InstallAnywhere 5.5.1 Enterprise Build 2032

    Summary
    ——-

    Installation: Successful with errors.

    4777 SUCCESSES
    0 WARNINGS
    1 NONFATAL ERRORS
    0 FATAL ERRORS

At the end of the log, I see the following error:
    Install Action: RPMSpecFile
    Status: ERROR
Additional Notes: ERROR – There was a problem creating the RPM package. You may not be running as root or may not have installed RPM Builder correctly.
    ERROR – java.lang.NullPointerException

My question is: What am I missing if I ignore this error? Everything seems to be running fine!

    Regards,

    Bharat

    Bharat,
You should be fine, the installer merely tries to create an RPM version of ME when run under Linux, if everything installed fine, I’d say ignore it.
