Until the Landscape function is operational, is there a way to lock into portrait mode so that when the iphone is turned on its side, it won’t flip the application and give an error message? In other words, when I turn the iphone on its side can I prevent the app from trying to render the image as landscape and leave a large blank space on the right hand side of the design.

    Thanks,

    -Sandy

    Hi Sandy,

We are looking into this. We had a preliminary solution but it was junk (my opinion) and we pulled it from the 1.0 release. For the short term we added a javascript hook to a message on orientation change to landscape that presents a simple alert dialog stating go back to portrait… not too great but better than nothing.

I’m talking to our dev team now about how to implement a real orientation lock, not a post orientation warning
