I have a couple of objects that I think should go under the “WEB-INF/classes” folder, like my log4j.properties file, and a sub-folder named resources that contains an application.properties file. No matter what I do, it seems that these keep being deleted, not just in the deployment, by also in my source project.

    Please see thread: https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/build-deletes-web-inf-classes-user-properties-file/

A less reliable technique is to disable the Eclipse Java compiler from scrubbing the output location just prior to a project rebuild. See preference located at Windows>Preferences>Java>Compiler>Build Path, scrub ouptut…

Thanks for the quick response…I felt dumb for having to post such a stupid question, but I couldn’t find the right thing to search by to find the previous post.
