    I just downloaded the MyEclipse 8.0 Milestone 1 for MACOSX. At least that was my intention.

    The file downloaded is called: myeclipse-8.0M1-macosx.tar (~749M)

    But when the file is un-tarred there is a directory inside called: myeclipse-7.9.100-macosx.

    Q: So, is this a MyEclipse 8.0 install? or a MyEclipse 7.9 install?

    Oh. It is internal name for the release (for testing we set number less then the real one). This is 8.0.

    Sorry for the confusion. We will fix this shortly.

    That is our naming scheme — you have the right release.

    7.9.100 == 8.0m1
    7.9.200 == 8.0m2 (this month)
    8.0.000 = 8.0 GA (next month)
