I have a project in CVS which was a web project. I took a different version of the same project with different name in my workspace. But now I don’t see that project marked as a webproject and also I don’t get any options under MyEclipse context menu related to deployment. Am I missing some configurations.

When you checked it into CVS did you include all the ‘dot’ files (ie. .project, .mymetadata, etc)? You can see them in the Navigator view or in the Package Explorer view if you turn off the filter that hides them. It’s likely that they didn’t get checked in properly.
