Loyal WaterMemberThis message has not been recovered.
jccartwrightMemberThanks for the suggestion Nipun. Yes, I’ve used the -clean command and the crashes are still occurring w/ the same frequency.
Any other ideas? Does the stack trace above help at all?

!MESSAGE The workspace exited with unsaved changes in the previous session; refreshing workspace to recover changes. This suggests that the issue is related to the workspace. I would like you to try one more thing. Can you switch to a new workspace and check if the ide continues to crash.
jccartwrightMemberI’ve re-installed eclipse and MyEclipse and created a new workspace. Crashes continue with the same frequency.
I really like the features of MyEclipse and would certainly hate to give up on it, but this instability is making me crazy. Do you have any
further insight into the source of the problems? Thanks!

Loyal WaterMemberI hope you reinstalled MyEclipse to a brand new location and NOT over your old installation.
Can you go to MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details and paste the information here for me.
jccartwrightMemberYes, the install was to a new location. Here’s the Installation Details.
Thanks for your help in diagnosing this – despite how often I save, seems like each crash takes a little code with it!

Loyal WaterMemberJohn,
Can you go to http://www.poweredbypulse.com and download the pulse installer. Use that to launch MyEclipse. I hope that solve the issue you are facing.
jccartwrightMemberThank you for the suggestion, but Pulse crashes w/ approximately the same frequency. Using a new workspace containing a single project.

Riyad KallaMemberJohn,
We have reports from other folks having problems on RedHat 5 as well running into problems, there seems to be some issue with the SWT-GTK bindings on RedHat 5 that are causing the Eclipse Platform a headache. Some users in this thread have had a bit of success by installing alternative libraries that have improved the situation. We are still trying to figure out a way to work around the native issue and improve the situation.
