harryajhMemberUsing ME Version: 7.5, Build id: 7.5-20090609 on win 2000 sp3
Takes 1-2 mins to load even on quite a fast pc with 4gb ram.
Read other similar posts and tried -clean option and no difference. Workspace does contain lots of projects and tonnes of files but if this was the reason why is the CPU usage (most of that time) so low?
Also, turned off nearly all startup plugins and still no difference. The myclipse process just seems to wait a minute or two before trying to finish!
thanks in advance

support-joyMemberHarry,

Can you give me more information –
1. How many projects do you have in your workspace?
2. What are the type of projects?
3. How many LOC per project?
4. Do you work on concurrent projects? If yes, how many?
5. Can you copy and paste your installation details? You can get it from MyEclipse IDE menu options, click on MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details.I would recommend you to Turn off features: Windows > Preferences > General > Capabilities > Advanced and disable the capabilities that you are not using.

[/quote]This might be a daft question but is there any easy way to tell what “capabilities” actual involve? – I currently have “Development”, “ME Professional Tools”, “ME Standard Tools” and “Team” checked (with the first 3 semi-greyed out) – but I’d like to know what I lose for each when disabling them?
Hope that helps!
Loyal WaterMemberharryajh,
No idea what LOC means?
LOC == Line of code. We want to know the size of the projects you are working with. Incase you switch to a new workspace with some of your larges projects, does that improve the performace? (e.g. What if you transfer 8-10 of you largest projects to a new workspace. Does that improve the performance?)
