I just installed a fresh copy of Eclipse 3.0.1 (was having major preferences errors, so upgraded and started new installation. I already had MyEclipse 3.8.2 +quickfix installed with my old Eclipse 3.0.0. I am using my existing workspace with the new 3.0.1 installation.
How do I migrate the MyEclipse installation into the new Eclipse 3.0.1 installation? Do I have to re-install MyEclipse from scratch?

    More details:
Here is how I have things set up.

    /Java/
        Eclipse/
            3.0-bad/
            3.0.1/
            MyEclipseEnterpriseWorkbench/
            workspaces/
                3.0/

Until this morning, 3.0-bad was just 3.0 and there was no 3.0.1; MyEclipse had been installed and was working with 3.0 and the workspace in workspaces/3.0
I now am using 3.0.1 pointed at the workspace in workspaces/3.0, but MyEclipse is not “installed” into the new 3.0.1

I would definately suggest grabbing MyEclipse 3.8.3 that just came out, a lot of bug fixes and enhancements. Then go ahead and install it against your 3.0.1 install. Then add the -clean command line argument to your shortcut that you use to start Eclipse 3.0.1, and restart it, selecting the workspace you want to use (new or old, doesn’t matter). The -clean will tell Eclipse to rebuild the plugin cache because you did a major update of MyEclipse, so it should create a new plugin cache and be ready to use.
