OK. Read the blurb. Downloaded the trial. Still don’t get it!
Is it the case that Mobione is simply a nice front end to creating web pages on the iphone? But that you still need something at the other end if you want to collate data, use the features such as flicking between Yes/No on the iPhone and actually have it do something??
In simple terms can someone please tell me what it does!!!
MobiOne Studio is a client-side design and dev environment for quickly creating and testing mobile web apps. The current version (1.1.4) is optimized for iphone UI design. We are continually improving MobiOne and it will soon support iPad UI design, native iOS app build, complex projects and a compliment of web src editors. The programming model is your classic web technology, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
In its current form users have found many practical uses starting with static content to create simple optimized mobile presence websites, product catalogs, internal quick dial phone lists, email forms, … Dev tooling for interfacing with server side data and services is on our roadmap. Presently that effort requires coding effort similar to most other mobile web dev environments.
