    Team,

I have recently updated the MyEclipse version to 2023.1.1 and I made a mistake. This version is very dull to be honest. There are lot of errors I do see with day-to-day activities. Following is one of them –

I am not able to deploy the application to Apache Tomcat 8.5 Server, this was working fine without any issue at earlier version. The error I am getting on the screen is
An internal error occurred during: “Publishing to CommonView Tomcat v8.5 Server at localhost …”.
    Could not initialize class com.genuitec.eclipse.webclipse.livepreview.common.LPMappingService

    Aral,

Sorry to hear you’ve had a disappointing experience with this release. Could you please share details of all the issues that you are running into? We’re working towards a 2023.1.2 update to be released next week and would love to ensure we resolve whatever is possible.

Coming to your specific error, could you please share the entire workspace error log? You can export this from the Error Log view.

We’ve tried this case locally and deployment works as expected. From what we can see, it looks like you have a corrupt installation. You could try restarting MyEclipse with the -clean flag which might fix the issue, or uninstalling and installing a fresh copy of MyEclipse with our offline installer and that should resolve this issue. The corrupt installation may also be what is causing the other issues you’re experiencing, so please give this a try.

    Hope this helps!
