I usually install using the Partial Install download instead of the All-In-One install. That way I can manage the base eclipse seperately.

Where can I find the MyEclipse 6.5.1 GA Partial install?

Also, what is pulse?

Are you looking for the Archive installer ? Im not sure what installer your referring to but the MyEclipse 6.5.1 archive installer is available on the download page.
