    Hello,

I have just upgraded to a clean install of Eclipse 3.4.1 classic, and MyEclipse 7.0 via Archive Site. At the same time I also renewed my Pro subscription (which would have expired in about 30 days). When I enter the subscription renewal, the code is accepted, the new expire day is correct, and all seems well. That is until I restart Eclipse, and the old subscription information is present, and I get an update subscription box.

I have tried using the -clean flag, but this has no effect. I have tried restarting several times to no avail — the new subscription is definitely not persisted.

    Please help.

    Thanks,
    Ron

    Ron,
Can you check if the new key gets saved in the .myeclipse.properties file when you enter the key? I hope this file has the correct permissions to allow it to be edited.

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply. This did turn out to be permissions related – sort of. I had set the file to be hidden, which in turn was causing an access denied error when the file was saved (even though actual permissions were correct). Setting the file to not be hidden fixed the problem. Thanks for giving a clue to the problem. Maybe someday M$ (I am running Vista) will figure out how permissions are actually supposed to work (but I’m not holding my breath).

    Thanks again,
    Ron
